A phone mast has been erected by default near the Coach and Horses pub and St Mary's and St Margaret's school. The planning application was rejected in 2006 but because the Council did not inform T Mobile of its decision within the 56 days limit the mast can now be erected by default. This is not the first instance of this happening in the North Solihull Borough, a mast was erected after the same 'mistake' of no notification on Winward Way also in 2006. Janine Smith, said: “There is real anger that this has been allowed to happen. “They put their hands up to the mistake, but we don’t want apologies.” The 42-year-old mum of one added: “Apparently nothing can be done to stop it, so we have spoken to our MP, Caroline Spelman, and she is writing to the Ombudsman.”
