This Friday around 100 youths gathered around the Farthings public house from around 7pm onwards. The group had gathered last weekend as well and police attended on both occasions and tried to move the group on. A local resident and a few of the Farthings customers told us that this happens most weekends but not to the extent it has in the last 2.

People are to scared to go out and the gang does get quite loud and drunk, last Friday bottles were thrown and the situation got close to getting out of hand" commented a local resident.

"I will not leave the pub when they are all running about screaming and throwing things. I know at least a few people who have stopped coming to the Farthings down to these yobs" R Hardy, Farthings customer.

Where can these kids go?

There is nothing for kids to do in Castle Brom so there is little surpise that they are spendiong their time in this manner.
